How does a Daisy Pool Cover work?
The translucent Daisy UltraDomeTM pool cover allows maximum sunlight—and heat into your pool. Short wavelength solar energy passes easily through the cover —generating heat like a magnifying glass. This heat is retained by the insulating qualities of the UltraDomeTM bubble material and the air pockets between the swimming pool cover and the water — similar to double glazing. Darker material is not as efficient, as it impedes the flow of light — and therefore, heat. Silver-backed material tends to reflect the light and heat like a mirror. Neither dark or silver-backed covers will heat your pool as efficiently as a translucent Daisy UltraDomeTM Solar Pool Cover. Daisy Solar Swimming Pool Covers are excellent thermal conductors—transferring the solar heat quickly into the water.
